Previously, manufacturing and service enterprises had separate thresholds for investment and annual turnover. However, this distinction has been removed, ensuring that both sectors now follow the same criteria.

The following criteria have been declared by the Ministry of MSMEs for plant and machinery or equipment.
Microenter Pressure Units: An enterprise with an investment of up to Rs 1 crore with less than 5 crore turnover will now be called a small enterprise unit.
Small Enterprises Units: Enterprises with an investment in investment up to Rs 10 crore with a turnover of less than 50 crores will now be called small enterprise units.
Medium Enterprises Units: Enterprises with investments up to Rs 50 crore with a turnover of less than Rs 250 crore will now be called medium enterprises.

After applying, make the online payment through credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI. Once the payment is successful, an executive will contact you for OTP verification via your registered mobile number or email.
After successful verification, you will be issued a Udyam Registration Number (URN), which serves as official proof of MSME registration. You can then download the Udyam Registration Certificate from the website. This certificate is essential for MSMEs to access government schemes and benefits.
