The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has declared the new method and process for filing the memorandum to be recognized as UDYAM REGISTRATION in the Gazette of India of 26 June 2020 with effect from 1 July 2020.
Udyam Enterprise Portal Registration Online
The central government makes electronic registration totally based on self-declaration for new enterprises. This service commenced on June 26th, 2020. There is no need to upload the documents for micro, small, and medium enterprise registration from July month.
The application of Udyam Registration is incorporated with the income tax and GST scheme. Enterprise details can be verified by GSTIN or PAN No.
Registration Process for Udyam Certificate
Any organization that wants to apply for the Udyam certificate will have the first need to visit the official website.
After the successful registration, the enterprise will receive a permanent number.
On the official Udyam Registration page, you can find "New Company not registered as an MSME" click on that.
After that, you'll be forwarded to a form to the new landing page. Fill out the details of the form, such as Aadhar number and the name of the firm.
Validate and generate OTP after that.
You will obtain a certificate after the successful completion of the application. The certificate will be issued online only.
This certificate has a dynamic QR code from which it is possible to access the portal web page and company details.
And registration fees do not apply. And no need to renew the registration.
The process of registration is completely free. No charges or fees are owed to anyone.
MSME Ministry Facilitation Mechanism for Entrepreneurs
The MSME ministry has established a good facilitation framework for MSMEs in the form of single window systems at the district and regional levels. This single window system will help those entrepreneurs who for whatever reason can not file the Udyam Registration. The District Industry Centers (DIC) were made responsible at the district level for facilitating the entrepreneurs. Similarly, the new Champions Control Rooms program by MSME Ministry around the country has been deemed legally accountable for encouraging these Entrepreneurs in registration and even thereafter.
Persons who don't have a legitimate Aadhaar number will contact the facilitating Single Window Systems. These persons would be asked to bring with them their Aadhaar enrollment request or identity, bank photo passbook, voter ID card, passport or driving license. The Single Window Systems would then make it simpler for them to file as an entity after the Aadhaar number is collected.
An organization with Udyam Registration Number (URN) can update its details online via the web of Udyam Registration. It would include details of the previous financial year's ITR and GST Return, and any additional information that may be required on the basis of self-declaration. This is in accordance with the notification regarding information updating and transition period.
Latest Definition of MSME as per the Notification
The Government listed micro, small and medium-sized enterprises according to the following parameters:-
A micro-enterprise, where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed one crore rupee and the turnover does not exceed five crore rupees;
A small undertaking where the investment in plants and machinery or equipment does not exceed 10 crore rupees and the turnover does not exceed 50 crore rupees; and
A medium-sized company where investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed fifty crore rupees, and where turnover does not exceed two hundred and fifty crore rupees.
Udyam Registration Certificate
If the whole electronic registration procedure is complete, the user may obtain an Udyam Registration Certificate. This Certificate has lifetime validity. This Udyam certificate will have a dynamic QR code from which you will be able to access the web page on the Government Portal and the business details will be visible.
