Udyog aadhar is a registration scheme introduced by India's Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It aims to promote the growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing them with various benefits and support.
Under the udyog aadhar scheme, small businesses can register online to obtain a unique identification number (udyog aadhar Number (UAN) / udyog aadhar Memorandum (UAM). This registration process is simplified and requires minimal documentation compared to previous registration processes.
The udyog aadhar Certificate is the document issued upon successful registration under the udyog aadhar scheme. It contains essential details about the registered enterprise, including its name, address, type of organization, activities undertaken, and the udyog aadhaar Number (UAN). This certificate serves as proof of registration and enables SMEs to avail themselves of various benefits provided such as financial assistance, subsidies, priority sector lending, and access to various schemes and incentives.
Note : In case you don’t have a UAN number, then you must have either registered email ID or registered mobile number, which was used during the registration process of udyam.
Udyog aadhar registration, which is now known as Udyam registration, offers several benefits for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in India:
No, the udyog aadhaar Certificate and the Udyam Certificate are not the same, although they serve a similar purpose of providing recognition and benefits to MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in India.
The udyog aadhar Certificate was issued under the previous registration system, where MSMEs could register themselves online with their Aadhar number and receive a unique udyog aadhar number. This certificate served as proof of registration under the MSME category and was used to avail of various benefits and schemes provided.
The Udyam Certificate is issued under the new Udyam registration system, which replaced the udyog aadhar system. MSMEs register themselves on the Udyam Registration Portal with their PAN (Permanent Account Number) and other relevant details. Once registered, they receive a unique Udyam Registration Number (URN) and a certificate known as the Udyam Certificate. This certificate serves as proof of registration under the revised MSME classification criteria and is used to avail benefits and schemes provided.
While both certificates serve as proof of MSME registration and eligibility for various benefits, they are issued under different registration systems (udyog aadhar and Udyam) and have different formats and registration numbers.
